Manuel FUE Hair Transplant
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction)
FUE is the technique used while removing the grafts (hair follicles) during hair transplantation and is the latest development in the field of hair transplant surgery.
In this technique, the grafts are taken from the donor area (between the two ears at the back) using micro punches. It allows a large number of grafts to be removed without any scarring in the donor area. In FUE technique, no incision is made in the scalp.
It also allows more grafts to be removed than other techniques. The FUE technique increases the number of grafts to be transplanted compared to other techniques and allows the patient to have a more dense hair.
Benefits Provided by the FUE Technique:
- No stitching required and no permanent scarring.
- Provides a comfortable and short-term recovery process.
- Oedema and bruise do not occur in general.
- Almost no post-operative pain.
- Post-operative activity is restricted less and it is possible to continue daily routine.
- Maximum number of grafts can be removed.
- The patients can use their hair in the length they prefer.
The MANUAL FUE technique is the extraction of grafts one by one at the optimum number and quality, without any scarring in the donor area.
Manual Fue technique requires sensitive touch, physical durability, excellent hand eye coordination and hand motor skill.
The extraction through this method is a technique in which grafts are felt by hand and extracted one by one.
The main purpose of this technique is to protect the grafts and the donor area during the extraction process and to protect the homogeneity of the donor area. As the homogeneity is kept, the density at the donor area can only be seen with close examination even after more than one session.
As the head structure, the direction and angle of the hair of each patient can be different from each other, the planning is made accordingly to every one.
The incision is the opening of the holes where the grafts will be placed.
Incisions can be performed by Lateral Slit or Sagittal Slit in hair transplants.
However, the planting process is longer, harder but the incisim process is performed by lateral slit method in our clinic in order to provide the naturalness in recieving area.
Lateral Slit is the incision process made in the direction of hair growth. Lateral technique provides natural appearance of hair. The natural hair changes between 10 ° and 90 ° angles. With the lateral incision, more density is acquired using smaller incisions.
Hair growth direction, angle, space and depth are of extremely importance in order to create natural appearance.
Lateral Slit allows clients to have:
- Natural inclination,
- Less tissue damage,
- Close graft placement,
- Greater hair-volume illusion.
Implantation is the placement of the grafts removed from the donor area by manual FUE technique into the cuts made by the lateral slit method, without damaging the grafts with special technical tools.
